Champ grew up being well-loved and well-cared for. He had a charmed life as dogs' lives go. His owner loved him and took good care of him and his doggy sibling. He played with the grandchildren, hung out with his doggy sibling during the day, and slept in his own big bed at night. All that came crashing to an end when his owner suffered a serious decline in health and was no longer able to care for the dogs properly. At 5 years old, Champ found himself alone and homeless, given to a shelter when no other home could be found for him.

Champ is housetrained, crate-trained, good with other dogs, and shows a healthy respect for cats. He was even calm when introduced to a rabbit in a cage.

He loves being petted and is very affectionate, and will lean into you to ask for more. His foster mom says that he is a champion snuggler, and loves to help her when she is doing her exercises, giving her lots of encouraging kisses. He needs a little work on walking nicely on leash but he's calm, quiet, and friendly. With his buff and white coat, Champ is a very handsome gentleman. He is just a lovely, lovely boy who would love to have a family and a home of his own.
