When we first heard about Sailor, we were told that he was so sad and depressed to find himself at the shelter in South Carolina. It did not look good for him as the shelter was over full and he was only given two days to get adopted or get a rescue committed to take him. When we heard his story and saw his then sad face we could not turn our back on him. And we are so happy we didn't. Sailor is a love and is your classic laid back black lab. He genuinely likes everyone he meets. As you can see from the pictures, he no longer looks sad and depressed. To the contrary he is enjoying life for probably the first time in a very long time. He follows his foster mom around and occasionally will stop in front of her and give her a tap on her leg with his paw to get her attention. How sweet is that!! Sailor would do fine in a home with other dogs (like his foster home) or as an only dog. Sailor really seems to love children a lot and we suspect that given how happy he is around kids of all sizes that maybe his former family had children. He will make a wonderful, loyal and easy companion to any family or individual.
