Courage is like the Lion in the wizard of Oz. This boy is super sweet and submissive (even afraid to look at cats), and he loves other dogs and people with his whole heart! He was the only survivor out of a very large group of dogs that were confiscated. All the other dogs were tragically euthanized given lack of space at the shelter but this boy was one the staff loved too much and could not bare to lose him. He did not come in with a name so the shelter staff wanted to give him a name to show him that he is a survivor and to teach him to be brave (like the song says).
