Rufus is a super sweet boy with big silly ears! More than anything, he just wants to be loved and petted, especially on his head and ears. He is affectionate and loves giving kisses, and he loves curling up next to his person on the couch. Rufus may have been attacked by another animal at some point, as he has a few scars, but despite that, he is so sweet and loving.
Rufus was in a temporary foster home in South Carolina before coming to HART, and his foster reported that he is very well-behaved in the house. He is house trained and crate trained and doesn't chew or get into things that he shouldn't. He did well when she left him alone with free roam of the house for a couple of hours. He loves going on walks, running after tennis balls in the yard, and playing with toys. He played nicely with stuffed toys and doesn't shred them.
Rufus is friendly with new people. He can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly, especially after being invited over to be petted in a gentle voice. He is such a lovebug and will make a great addition to a lucky family!
