Jasper is the gentlest dog with the sweetest disposition you could ever hope to find. Very mild-mannered, he is friendly and affectionate with everyone he meets. There isn't a mean or aggressive bone in his body. He would do fine in a home with or without children, and with or without other dogs. When greeting, he often gives a joyful "grin" but does not jump up on people no matter how excited he becomes. After several days in a foster home, he has only barked once, and it was such a soft, quiet bark that you might not hear it if you weren't in the same room. He hasn't chewed or destroyed anything in his foster home. Jasper is mesmerized by birds. When he sees a bird, he doesn't bark or race after it he freezes in place with his tail fully extended and his nose pointed at the bird. Jasper tends to "mark" territory, but this should become less frequent after his neutering, which has already been scheduled. He loves to go for walks, loves being scratched behind the ears, and will collapse head-first into any available lap for a full body rub. Jasper craves all the attention you can give him. In return, this gentle, happy-go-lucky soul will pour out his unconditional love to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him.
