Look at that big, happy smile! Wouldn't it make you feel better to come home to that every day?! Zoey is a super-sweet girl who was saved in the nick of time. She was dumped at a rural southern shelter where there are almost no adoptions, just a never-ending line of people dumping their dogs. The shelter was out of space and Zoey was scheduled to be euthanized in just a few hours to make room for the next group of dogs who were being processed in. The shelter volunteers were so distraught at the thought of Zoey being euthanized that they put out an emergency appeal, but no one responded. Not until one of our rescue partners reached out to us, told us how wonderful Zoey is, and asked us if we could save her. And that is how Zoey came to HART.

Most of the time, Zoey is friendly with other dogs she meets but she finds socializing with them overwhelming, and she prefers to be the only dog in the home and hang out with her human friends.

Zoey is good with cats and has lived with them before. She loves people and is very friendly/ She loves playing with balls and playing fetch. She is house trained and crate trained.

Zoey is a happy, friendly, incredibly sweet and loving girl who just wants a family of her own who will be as loyal and loving to her as she will be to them.
