Queenie

Queenie is a healthy, high-energy, and beautiful dog. She is sweet, gentle and lives to please her owners. Queenie is a smart girl. She picks up on commands and manners quickly, and would love a person who has the time to teach her new things. She is friendly with adults, children and other dogs. Our trainer believes that Queenie is cat friendly, but she will try to convince anything to play with her, so she would do best in a home with confident cats that will teach her manners. She is housebroken and sleeps through the night in a crate, however, despite her age she has some puppy-like behavior that will need to be worked on (i.e. chewing). Queenie loves company and would likely do best in a home with other dogs or even children to run with and burn her energy. She is an athlete and would do best in a home with a fenced yard to run in or with someone active who will take her everywhere! This social butterfly would not do well in a home where she would have to spend a lot of time by herself during the day. In her current home, Queenie barks when she is left alone, and, therefore, it is not recommended for her to go to an apartment or townhome. Her foster parents are working diligently to get Queenie used to being left alone for periods of time.
