Vardy

Vardy is a friendly, laid back, mature gentleman who is past his puppy years and is looking for a quiet home. His foster mom says he is pretty perfect! He is generally quiet and well-behaved. He loves walks, looking out the window, being petted, and curling up next to his people on the couch or in bed. He is generally calm but has occasional bursts of energy when he is excited and will get the zoomies, toss a toy up in the air, or chase his tail!

Vardy is house-trained and does fine without being crated when he is home alone. If you want to take him out with you though, he's always up for a walk and he's also happy to go on a car ride and join you on adventures! He does great on leash, is not reactive, and is friendly and calm when meeting new people and dogs.

Vardy knows basic commands, including sit, shake, and roll over... he tends to skip "lie down" and go straight to rolling over! He also excels at perching on the back of the couch, getting in a good back rub by rolling on the grass or carpet, waking you up with sweet kisses, and trying to convince you that you have not fed him yet.

Vardy has done well in a home with dogs (ranging from 8 to 60 lbs) and cats before but also does great as an only dog. He is friendly with kids but prefers a calm home without small kids.
