Many dogs who come to HART have a rags to riches story, but few have blossomed more dramatically than Ann. When you meet her you would never know that this gorgeous, happy, vivacious girl came to HART half starved, filthy, neglected, scared, and depressed. One look at her and the HART volunteers knew this poor girl had had a very hard existence in her short life. Fast forward a few months, and WOW! She is stunning, smart, out-going, and full of promise.

She adores people, all people, and she is so pretty that she can make your heart melt. But don't let her history, and that pretty face and liquid eyes make you go all gooey inside: Ann needs a leader, and she will do best with a family who will be loving but will give her firm rules to follow, and will enforce them consistently.

She walks nicely on a leash but can get overexcited by lots of activity, so would do best in a quiet suburban or country life, as opposed to a busy urban environment. She likes many other dogs and could live with a more submissive dog.

Ann is a super-smart girl and would love someone who will give her mental as well as physical exercise. Ann is eager to start her new life as someone's beloved companion. Could that lucky person be you?
