It's amazing that Georgina is so incredibly sweet, given that she was confiscated from a house of horrors where dogs were subjected to extreme cruelty and neglect. Georgina was one of the lucky ones. She seems to have suffered only neglect and starvation, because she produced litter after litter of puppies that could be sold, so she was too valuable to have the worst forms of cruelty inflicted on her.

Fortunately, a concerned citizen reported their suspicions, and in the raid that followed, Georgina and her puppies were rescued along with several other dogs. Her puppies were quickly adopted, but in this particular area of the country no one wants to adopt adult dogs and so, having been rescued from hell, it seemed to be Georgina's fate that she would die in a shelter. HART heard her story and couldn't let this sweet girl be abandoned again. We agreed to take her and we are so glad we did.

Georgina was in a temporary foster home before being transported to HART with other dogs and cats, and she was wonderful with everyone. She is very social and loves children. Her foster said, "Georgina is a very sweet girl. She loves everyone she's been around in the month that I've had her." She loves chew toys, playing with tennis balls, and getting belly rubs. She learns quickly and sits on command, and is house trained and crate trained.

Georgina soaks up all the love she can get. Having been denied it in her past, she won't let a drop of it go to waste.
