Amidala - Adopted on 7/7/2021

Age:  About 5 years

Gender:  Female

Breed:  Shepherd Mix

Amidala is a gorgeous, fun-loving Shepherd mix! She is a happy girl who loves her people. In her foster home, she thinks she is a lap dog. She climbs on the couch for head scratches and kisses from her foster family. She is good about telling them when she needs to go outside, and she knows the commands "sit" and "no." Ami loves workmen. Her foster mom thinks she loves men with pickup trucks and tool belts - tattoos optional! She is not bothered by noise so other than curiosity, work on house next door would not bother her. Ami weighs close to 70 lbs. She has gotten better walking on leash but does understand "no" and will stop pulling. She loves people and everyone is a friend. She is curious about other dogs on our walks, and does play nice off leash in fenced areas. Ami has a toy box and frequently will redecorate her crate with additional toys from the toy box. Ami needs a person who can help her feel safe, and someone to show her how to play a good game of fetch! She doesn't mind her crate either open or closed, and she will gently take treats from your hand. She prefers meal time to herself and is a bit food aggressive with the other dog in the foster home, so Ami will likely do best in a home where she is the one and only dog. If you are looking for a gorgeous companion who likes to cuddle, please consider applying to adopt Amidala!
