Loretta was in a foster home after we agreed to rescue her from a shelter for a couple of weeks in S.C. while we arranged for transport. Her foster parents were over the moon about Loretta! This is the feedback we got from them: Ms Loretta is the sweetest dog ever, loves to be petted. And just hang wherever you are. She's the best companion!! She will follow you everywhere without being annoying.
Ms Loretta can and will surprise you with her ability to jump in or out of places, we used a playpen the first couple off nights but she escaped from the playpen easily. She doesn't need it because she is not at all destructive, and she is housebroken. She prefers to have a spot next to your bed if possible. Remember she is a people girl!! Loretta also likes a room with a view outside, and if you get a spot with some sun she will be delighted.
Loretta absolutely hates crates, please don't try to force her into one, she doesn't need one. Just remember she is a Beagle so don't leave food or treats unattended on tables as she will try find a way to get them. She is agile and we think she may be younger than the shelter believed. Loretta is a very special girl that will give comfort and peace if you need it. Has all the qualities of a great therapy dog.
