Skye - adopted - Adopted on 5/25/2011

Skye is a beautiful female Great Dane. Upon rescue, we were told she was 10-12 weeks, however, she was more like 5 months. Unfortunately, she has a health condition called megasophagus, which is an enlargement of the esophagus. She needs to be fed in an elevated position and kept in a sitting position (usually on our couch) so that gravity can take her food down to her stomach. She will require this "special care" in order for her to thrive probably for the rest of her life. She is a fantastic, fun loving girl, and we hope one day to find her a very special home where someone will have the time to commit towards her special care. She loves playing with other dogs and she truly is just a dream. Please consider her!!
