Kamie is a very special dog who is loving, affectionate, and easy-going. The coordinator at the shelter in South Carolina knew that HART would take her when we heard about her. She said, "she is truly one of the sweetest dogs I've met in my shelter career. She is gentle and kind with both people and other dogs. What really got me was when she offered her paw and the shelter worker took it, and she proceeded to climb up and stand for a hug. She is truly a special girl."
Kamie went to a temporary foster home in SC while she awaited transport to Virginia. Her foster mom had wonderful things to say about her: "Kamie is a gentle, loving soul who is easy-going, playful, inquisitive, and devoted. She has an amazingly sweet disposition and would be a perfect companion for most any family."
Kamie loves walks and being outside, playing, and snuggling. She would love to have a big fenced yard to run around in. She loves be near her human and will wait patiently for attention when you are busy. She would do best with another confident dog in the home as she will follow their lead and learn from them. She is sensitive and responsive to cues from people and other dogs and is even pretty good with cats!
Kamie is a good listener and learns quickly. She doesn't chew on things that aren't hers. She travels well - great on a leash and rides well in the car. She is house trained and crate trained.
