Meet Ruger! He is one handsome boy! Ruger hasn't been to the dog park without someone asking about his unusual coloring or commenting what a good looking dog he is! Ruger is super intelligent. He loves every person he meets. He is only about 9 months old, so he still has a lot of puppy behavior. He knows sit, down, high five, stay, come, and paw. He is crate trained and house broken. When offered a treat, Ruger races upstairs and runs into his crate before his foster mom can even make it up the stairs! Ruger is looking for an experienced owner who will give him guidance and correction as needed. Once Ruger learns you mean business, he is very obedient and loving. He has a lot of herding instinct, so needs a lot of daily exercise. A large yard or daily trips to the dog park is crucial to keeping Ruger stimulated. The perfect home would have at least an acre in which he can explore and chase squirrels and birds. Although friendly with children, Ruger should not be placed in a home with young children due to his energy level. He currently has a very alpha foster family and is doing amazingly well! After a trip to the dog park or time playing outside with friends, Ruger wants nothing more than to be close to his people or canine foster brother. Come meet this sweet boy this weekend!
