I met this beautiful shy pup known to HART as Sitka in July of 2004 at the Greenbriar PetCo adoption event. I was hoping to find a lab, but one look at this girl's blue eyes and I was smitten; shortly thereafter, she was mine - or should I say I was hers.
We decided Layla was a better suited name for her. Layla was well loved and quickly became my world. She enjoyed other doggie friends, swimming, running, and curling up at my feet or in my lap. Through the next 15 years, Layla gained a dad and 3 human little sisters who adored her. She was gentle and loving to them, but Mommy was always her favorite.
Layla crossed the rainbow bridge on May 8th, 2019. I am blessed that she chose me to be her mommy and that HART facilitated our journey together. She is greatly loved and missed.
