Attention: The safety of our adopters and volunteers is our highest priority. HART has resumed adoption events at the Chantilly Petsmart. We ask that adopters that are not fully vaccinated wear a mask while outside and that all adopters, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask while indoors.

Cat Friendly:  No

Lilly is loving, playful, and snuggly. She just loves meeting people at adoption events including kids. She just wants to soak up all the love and attention she can get and with those long velvety hound ears its hard to resist.

Lily is house trained, crate trained, walks well on the leash and rides well in the car. She is not as vocal as some of her other hound relatives but she is very food motivated. She has integrated well with the multiple dogs in her foster home and enjoys playing and snuggling up with them. She does well with dogs at events or on walks. She will need a structured and supervised integration to understand her place and the new rules if she will be joining a home with other resident dogs but once she understands the rules and what is expected of her she thrives.

Lily is a shining example of how a dog can flourish and thrive given the proper environment and tools to succeed. She has improved in leaps and bounds moving from a kennel environment to her current foster home and we believe the best is yet to come for this sweet girl. What Lily wants more then anything else is someone to love her. She needs someone that will continue to work with her on training and setting firm boundaries so that she can be her best self and set her up to succeed. Currently she would do best in a home with adults or older children only without too much coming and going.

Lilly is not a fan of crowded noisy areas, so apartments and condos are not ideal situations for her.
