Attention: The safety of our adopters and volunteers is our highest priority. HART has resumed adoption events at the Chantilly Petsmart. We ask that adopters that are not fully vaccinated wear a mask while outside and that all adopters, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask while indoors.

Marschall is a volunteer favorite! This boy is a great balance between loving to play (ball is his favorite) and loving to cuddle and get belly rubs. He also loves to give kisses!

Marschall takes treats gently and gives up his toys easily. His ideal home would have a fenced yard and a person who loves to play ball. And as quick as Marschall is to play at the drop of a hat, he can go from active to chill very quickly. He loves to go for walks and would be a great walking or hiking buddy.

Marschall is not reactive to other dogs. He is fine with other dogs around him at events. He respects fences, crates and gates and is happy to see dogs on the other side. Marschall is dog selective. So for that reason, he should be adopted as the only pet in the home. With that being said, we think it's possible for him to be around other dogs with help from a good trainer, but whoever adopts him should be okay with him being their only pet.

Marschall is house trained and is perfect in his crate when his people are working from home or out for the day. Marschall is a polite houseguest, and unlike most larger dogs, has great body awareness (and doesn't bump/run over his people). He knows basic commands and listens very nicely. He walks well on leash with a head harness, as long as he's given guidance. We have no doubt that he will be a great companion for some lucky person.
