His story is heartbreaking but Rowdy is an overcomer! Rowdy was shot in the leg and waited weeks for his owner to take him to the vet. Unfortunately, the doctor had to amputate his front right leg. The owner never came back to bring Rowdy home.

Rowdy is well mannered, sweet, gentle but will sometimes live up to his name. He may need a slow introduction to other dogs as he gets really excited when meeting them. Rowdy likes to play ball, but likes playing keep-away rather than "fetch and return." Rowdy's missing leg is really not an issue. He handles stairs quite well, and runs around the yard like anybody else. He really prefers an adult home with no little kids, and all the adults who meet him fall in love immediately. Rowdy is house trained!

This dog is sponsored by: Brian & Carol Purdy, in memory of Flip; and by The Zhang Family, in memory of Earl, deeply loved and missed
