Harry has a very gentle disposition and is a very mellow and calm dog. He gets along great with everyone he meets including dogs, and is happy to make new friends. He is not in a foster home yet but he is very clean in his kennel and does not chew on things he should not chew on. Our kennel manager has told us that he and his brother Lloyd are very nice dogs and very eager to please. Harry came from a small rural shelter that was 1/3 over capacity (room for 22 but they had 30 dogs!) The volunteers at the shelter put out a special plea for him (and his brother Lloyd and also Parker too), because his time was up. They had kept Harry safe for a long time but given the number of dogs the small shelter had, they could no longer keep Harry (or Lloyd or Parker) safe. They were heartbroken that after all this time, his life would end at the shelter. Harry and Lloyd came in together and they were kept in the same run at the shelter, but they are not a bonded pair so they can be adopted separately. If you are looking a calm but happy go lucky dog who is appreciative of everything, please consider Harry. Harry would fit great into a home with or without other dog. Harry loves to cuddle and he looks up at you with those big brown eyes - it is hard not to melt. Harry is an all around wonderful dog! If you are interested in meeting him please let us know.
