This is one special little girl. She is a happy, loving girl. Saved at the last minute because HART knew she was special. Suri will make someone very lucky to have adopted her. Suri may have special needs but she does not realize this. She has adjusted so well you may just forget she is blind. She would probably do best in a home that is not too active. By "not too active" I mean she will need to learn the layout of your home. She will adjust beautifully if things are not moved around all the time.
Suri is a gentle girl and loves to be with her person. She walks well on a leash but you will have to remind yourself sometimes that she cannot see. Her foster is trying to teach her some simple words to warn her of any dangers. She does love to follow her foster around the house and listens for her and uses her nose to guide her.
Don't let the idea of having a blind dog scare you. She is a very easy dog to care for.
Our guess right now is that she was born blind. She thinks she is just like every other dog! She is scheduled to see the "eye doctor" soon so stay tuned.

Update: Suri was not born blind. Both her eyes could have been saved if surgery was done immediately. Too late for her to regain her site now but she will have NO future issues with her eyes according to the eye specialist.
