Little Yahtzee has had some ups and downs in his life. Originally a stray from Puerto Rico, he was adopted by a loving owner for several years. Then she couldn't take care of him anymore and he came back to HART confused, scared and very underweight. Now in a quiet, safe, loving foster home with a confident "big brother" dog, he's learning to trust his humans again, following them around everywhere, seeking pets and starting to wag again. He likes humans and loves other dogs, he's just still a little scared. He loves going for walks, hanging out quietly in the yard, and roughhousing with his foster dog buddy. He plays like a dog returning to his youthful puppy days! He's very quiet in the house, happy to doze on a bed during the day next to his human and play with toys, and is fully housetrained. He barks outside when he's uncertain but will get better as he becomes more confident. He trots into his crate when it's time and doesn't make a sound. He sleeps through the night and is good on a leash. Yahtzee will make a wonderful companion for both humans and another adult dog who is looking for an adult friend to play with. His big dark eyes pull at your heart as you know he's just looking for a loving, patient, understanding, quiet home with another confident dog, where he knows he is safe and loved.
