Hola! Meet Jazmin who came to HART from Puerto Rico after the hurricane, and was probably a street dog before that. In a very short time, Jazmin's world turned upside down - a frightening storm, a scary plane ride, being taken to live in a home, and made to wear sweaters to keep warm because she was so thin.

Jazmin was very shut down when she arrived but has always been very kind and gentle with everyone. She has been learning what it's like to live in a home and has even learned to have some fun. The first time Jazmin did her morning happy dance, her foster parents almost cried! Jazmin is still very shy and can be easily startled but she has made great progress.

When Jazmin arrived at her foster home, she was too scared to leave her crate. She slowly started venturing out and interacting with her canine siblings and they have really helped her learn how to just be a dog.

Jazmin loves giving kisses and cuddling on the couch or laying at her foster mom's feet while she works. She also loves to dance and play bow in the morning or when playing with her foster sister Penny. She enjoys walks and sometimes she and Penny try to beat each other out the door!

Jazmin would do best in a home with adults only or with older children as she is startled by fast movements and sudden noises. She needs another dog in her home to play with and to help her continue to gain confidence. Can you give this special girl her well deserved forever home?
