Caesar - Adopted on 4/21/2018

Look at that face! How can you resist? You can practically hear him saying "I'll be a good boy, just take me home!" Caesar is smart, treat motivated, and easy to train. How easy you ask? A dog volunteer loves to tell this story about him: Like many other dogs, Caesar was so eager to get out of his kennel for some time outdoors that he was difficult to leash. So "I told him to sit and when he started jumping before I got the collar on, I closed the door and walked away. Two minutes later I tried again, and that boy sat as still as a stone until the collar was on and I was ready to go. He has been sitting like a champ for all the volunteers ever since." We are working on teaching him to take his treats nicely and he is making great progress.

Caesar is calm around both dogs and cats. He is good with the other dogs in his foster home, including a chihuahua. He is housetrained and crate trained. He is very good at fetch, and will fetch almost any type of toy, then sit and wait for you to throw it again. He is such a sweet dog, and one look in his eyes tells you he will be the best boy he can possibly be. This Caesar doesn't want to rule an empire, he just wants a place in your heart.
