Nikita is amazingly sweet and loving, especially given her history. She and 4 other dogs were seized by county officers because of their living conditions and the condition of each dog. Nikita was only 27 pounds when she was seized, malnourished and severely neglected. She is now a healthy 50 pounds with a beautiful red/gold coat. She is as good-natured as a dog could possibly be. She loves people and wants to be with them. She is playful and loves to play with balls of all sizes.

She is completely house trained. She gets along very well with the other medium to large dogs in her foster home, but is really much more people-focused than dog-focused. She is not a fan of the crate but is well behaved with full roam of her foster home. Nikita would do best in a home with another medium/large dog or people who are home a lot.

She loves to go for walks but needs some leash training.
