It's hard to get a "regular" face portrait of Dixie, instead, she ends up looking like someone just told her a funny story or she's giving you a sly look because she's bemused by an insider joke you're not getting. And if she isn't doing that, well, she's either off happily pouncing on balls or plopping in someone's lap.
Dixie is a lovable, funny, affectionate, friendly dog who seems very comfortable with who she is and with the world around her. She's very smart, loves to play with toys, and has never met a lap she didn't want to climb into. She also loves kids and is great with them! Dixie is house trained and well-mannered.
Dixie is one of those dogs who tries to make the best of whatever situation she finds herself in. But the situation she would really like to find is a home of her own with a person or family who will love her and play with her, and yes, let her snuggle on their lap.
