Lefty is a snuggle bug who is 100% focused on his people and loves every person he meets!
Lefty's foster mom says he is a PERFECT house dog. He is fully potty trained and lets you know when he wants to go out, but rushes back in because being with you is where he wants to be. He has never chewed on anything inappropriate in her house and rarely barks.
Lefty loves to snuggle and is a great couch partner. When you come home after being away even a short time, he will greet you at the door with exuberant energy, bouncing straight up and down and spinning with excitement. Even the worst day will melt away with a greeting like that!
Outside, he is learning to walk nicely and is doing very well, though he finds all those squirrels very exciting. He loves to walk and hike. He is generally polite with other dogs he sees on his walks, but is not interested in playing or interacting with them. He really prefers the company of people, and would love to be your one and only pet so he can soak up all the attention.
Lefty has beautiful and unusual coloring. At first, he appears to be black and white and gray, but there is gold brindle among the black that you don't see until the sun shines on him. All of his legs are white except his left front leg which is black, which is how he got his name.
