Thomas is an adorable old man with a sweet, gentle soul who loves being with his people. He is loving and affectionate and always greets you with a tail wag and a smile. He loves to nap on his dog bed or the couch, and wants to be wherever you are. He doesn't ask for much and is content with good food, cozy beds, belly rubs, and short walks.

Thomas is great with the 5 year old girl in his foster home and gives her gentle kisses. He gets along with most other dogs but would prefer a home where he is the only dog. He is very quiet and doesn't bark and is house trained and crate trained. He does need a home without stairs.

We found Thomas when he was living in a garage, never allowed inside his family's home, with nothing but a piece of cardboard, his "bed", between him and a cold concrete floor. Thomas had belonged to a young man who moved away from home, leaving him in the care of his mother who clearly didn't want him. When HART offered to take Thomas, she was happy to release him to us, and he has been in a wonderful foster home since then. He is just so happy to be in the comfort of a home with people now and is looking for his forever home!
