Roseanne is a sweetheart! She came to HART from a shelter in SC and a volunteer who spent time with her at the shelter said "there's not a more kind, gentle, patient, submissive, appreciative, forgiving dog in the universe than Roseanne." She is a doll and is friendly with new people.
Roseanne was found as a stray in SC but we think she was a beloved pet at one time, as she was already spayed and microchipped and seemed well-cared for. Sadly, no one came to claim her. She shared a kennel with another dog at the shelter and was very sweet to him. She walked calmly on her leash as soon as she was taken out of her kennel, while many other dogs pull and are bouncy, and then would go willingly back into her kennel after her walk. We think she is about 2 years old but she seems more settled and mature.
This shelter volunteer loved Roseanne so much that she took her home to foster her for a couple of weeks until she could be transported to HART. Roseanne gets along great with her other dogs. She loves toys and tennis balls and loves to retrieve, but she also releases or shares them willingly. She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle, get belly rubs, and be brushed. She is a great house guest and is house trained.
