There are so many amazing stories about Ladybird, and not one bad one. She is so smart and responds to Ladybird, Bird, and Birdie. She gently places a paw on your leg when she needs your attention. She is quiet and calm in the house, treating the furniture and home with care and respect. She can be fun and rambunctious outside, especially when she has other fur friends to play with. Sadly, Ladybird needs a new home because of a family member who had to move into the home is highly allergic to dogs. Her previous owners have never seen her not get along with any humans, canines, or felines.
Ladybird makes friends on her walks and recognizes humans and their dogs. She is so kind to big and small dogs alike, but she definitely prefers to rough house with the big dogs. However, she never hurts the small ones.
Ladybird is SO GOOD WITH KIDS! On multiple occasions, Ladybird has encountered little children in such a kind way. She usually sits in front of them while they pet her. She doesn't move and is very patient. The vet thinks that before she was rescued, someone may have been training her as a therapy dog. At the vet once, the doctor walked out into the waiting room to find Ladybird holding court with a number of kids.
Please consider Ladybird. She would make a wonderful companion! She doesn't need a high degree of activity and really just adjusts to whatever is being asked of her. She is very safe around humans of all sizes and other pets. Only squirrels need to fear her.
