Attention: The safety of our adopters and volunteers is our highest priority. HART has resumed adoption events at the Chantilly Petsmart. We ask that adopters that are not fully vaccinated wear a mask while outside and that all adopters, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask while indoors.

Madeline is very gentle and easy-going. She was surrendered to a shelter in rural Virginia with her litter of puppies. Another rescue group took in her puppies but left this sweet mama behind, so of course, HART stepped in to help her. Madeline had a severely damaged by glaucoma eye that the ophthalmologist recommended be removed. She has fully recovered from the surgery. This adorable, sweet girl walks well on the leash, is crate trained (sleeps in it over night, and often during the day with the door open all the time). She is not destructive, knows how to sit (training still coming along), and generally a very easy going girl! When it's playtime, Madeline can get very excited and bouncy, and may be too much for younger children. A family with no children, or older children could be a good fit for Madeline!
