Ranger is a cuddle bug who came to HART from a shelter in South Carolina where he was a staff favorite. He is so good with other dogs that the shelter used him to do dog tests with new dogs. He can be a little shy with new people but warms up quickly with some gentle pets.
Ranger loves snuggling, getting belly rubs, spending time outside, and playing with toys - especially rope toys. He was in a foster home in SC before coming to HART and got along well with the other dogs and cats in the home, even letting the cats cuddle up with him. There was also a 5 month old baby in the home and Ranger was attentive and gentle with him.
His SC foster says he was an excellent house guest! He is house trained and does great without being crated when he is home alone and at night.
Ranger was adopted as a puppy and was surrendered by his owners after he was hit by a car. He is still healing but he does great with long walks at a slower pace.
