Doyle is a sweet, silly boy with the most adorable ridge on his neck, who is a bit unsure of his surroundings. He has opened up dramatically in his foster home, where he loves to play with his big brother. He may not be super sure of everything, but he always loves running around in the yard, and is happy to go outside. He sleeps perfectly on his bed and knows right where to go at bedtime. When we get up in the morning, he is super eager to start his day, wiggling all over as we get ready.
Since Doyle is a bit shy, and he opens up with other dogs around, we would recommend a quiet house with another dog to help build his confidence and teach him that things are going to be okay. He walks fairly well on a leash and is learning basic commands, though he listens very well in the yard and is happy to come see you when called. He is also learning how to let us know when he has to do his business.
He may take some time to come out of his shell, but once he does, the dog inside is goofy, affectionate and sure to keep you entertained. He is incredibly tolerant, allowing us to play with his feet, cut his nails and bathe him without any difficulty from the beginning.
