Tipper is very loving, gentle, and easy-going. Her foster mom says "she is the sweetest creature on this earth. She will make an incredible companion."

Tipper is looking for a special home with someone to monitor her auto-immune disease. When she arrived to HART, her left front leg was fractured and surgical repair was not an option due to the complexity of the fracture. The vet was getting ready to amputate the leg when the bones in her right front leg started to degenerate. After more testing and research, both of her legs started improving with the right medication! The cast is off of her left leg now and she is wearing braces on both legs. She needs a home with a fenced yard and without many stairs.

Tipper loves spending time with her people, chewing on bones, and taking naps, especially on cool tile floors. She has been in a foster home with cats and older kids and is great with them. She generally gets along well with other dogs but prefers to be the only dog in the home. She is calm, laid back, and quiet. She does very well in a crate. Tipper needs a home where she won't be alone for too long during the day, even after covid.
