Mazie is a happy, cuddly, love bug. She has a naturally curious personality and loves exploring. She enjoys going on short runs and loves to play with other dogs. She has done well living with other dogs when she understands her place in the pack. She can get over-excited if not supervised and will do better with a dog her size or slightly bigger. She rides well in the car and is always eager to hop in. Mazie loves to give kisses and is a die hard belly rub fan. She makes the cutest little piglet noises when she is getting comfortable or playing with a toy. She has a whole lot of personality packed into her little body and big freckled ears. Mazie has such a happy, loving personality it's hard to imagine that she is deaf. She takes it in stride, and is learning hand signals including sit, place, stay, wait, down, come and no and has shown herself to be very smart and intuitive. She needs a leader who will continue her training. She responds well to clear rules and boundaries and thrives when she has a purpose and knows what is expected of her. She would do best with someone that is home most of the time as she likes being with her people. Being deaf she is visually stimulated by things like lights, shadows and reflections and can sometimes startle at unexpected movements so she should be in a home without kids. She should have proper introductions to strangers and new dogs. She requires a fenced yard. If you're looking for an adorable, cuddly, inquisitive companion, Mazie's the one!
