Carly is a wonderful dog who loves people. She is friendly, loving, sweet, and affectionate. She was found as a stray in rural VA and ran right up to a stranger, so she is definitely not guard dog material!
Carly gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home but would probably also do fine as an only dog. She loves being outside, smelling anything and everything, going on long walks, and meeting new people, including kids. She spent time with her foster's nephews, ages 2 and 4, and seemed to love them. She might knock little kids over though.
Carly needs a home with a secure fenced yard as she loves to follow her hound nose wherever it leads her. Due to her higher energy level and love of the outdoors, she would probably be unhappy in an apartment.
Carly is house trained and does fine without being crated. Carly will be a great family pet, but needs to learn some basic commands and household manners. Overall she is a very happy and sweet hound!
