Serinda is incredibly affectionate, snuggly, and playful! She is just a total lovebug. She loves giving hugs and resting her head on your shoulder and will stay like that for as long as you let her. She loves toys and loves bouncing back and forth between different toys - she doesn't have much of an attention span to just stick with one toy!

Serinda can be very fearful about new things and needs a patient family. She is also sensitive to sudden movements and loud noises, so it seems like she was not treated well in the past. She bonds closely with her humans and will look to them for reassurance. She also loves other dogs, so being in a home with another dog may help her be more confident, but she is also doing well in her foster home as the only dog.

She would do best in a home with a fenced yard. She enjoys being outside but is nervous when she sees other people or dogs on walks and freezes. We think this will improve, but it would be helpful for her to have a safe space to spend time outside in the meantime. She is friendly with kids but would probably be more comfortable in a home with kids who are older and calmer or without kids.

Serinda is house trained and crate trained. She also does fine with free roam when she is home alone. She does jump up on people (that is the best way to give hugs, after all) so she could use some training to learn some manners.
