Frankie is shy and is playful once he feels comfortable. He was surrendered by his owner to a shelter in South Carolina along with 5 other dogs. They were not socialized and we think they lived outside. Frankie needs a home with a secure fenced yard and another dog who is confident and playful.

Frankie is a shy boy who needs time to adjust and warm up to his surroundings. He is still getting used to normal household sounds - the microwave, vacuum, doors shutting. He has picked up quickly on the daily routines of his foster home. He loves to play and is especially playful after meals, romping with the other small dog. He likes to chew on stuffed dog toys and tennis balls and carry them around the house. He is also becoming more playful with the boxer mix.

It can take some encouragement to get him out the door, but once he is, he loves to walk and walks well on a leash without pulling. He listens well but will need some basic training. He is house trained and crate trained.

Frankie settles quickly after playtime and likes to rest near his foster mom. He also will sit next to the kids (ages 8 and 10) while they pet him.
