Sophie is very sweet and loving and would be happy to sit in your lap and snuggle all day! She's an absolute love bug just waiting for someone to welcome her into their home.
Sophie mostly wants to cuddle or sleep, preferably under a blanket, but has occasional bursts of energy for walks and socializing with the neighbors. When she can't actually be in her foster mom's lap, she loves to follow her around the house and watches her cook.
Sophie is looking for a calm, quiet home. She was fine with kids she has met, but was nervous when they were loud. She does fine with the dogs in her foster homes but prefers other calm dogs who won't try to play with her. We think she would also do well as an only dog.
Sophie needs a home where someone is home for much of the day (even after covid) as she really loves being with her people and also needs frequent potty breaks. Sophie also should not be required to go up and down stairs as it is not good for her dachshund back.
