Howdy! The name's Lonestar and I come from the west. Well, western Virginia, anyway. I was probably left at the shelter because I'm heartworm positive, but the nice folks at HART are letting the vet treat that, so those little varmints will be gone soon enough. I'm just about as laid back as you can get. I get along great with the dogs in my foster home and ignore the cat. I like the crate and sleep there quietly all night, and word is they say I'm showing signs of being housebroken. I'm shy at first but like everyone I meet. Walks are lots of fun, especially when I spot a squirrel! I'm easy to walk, but am a typical Beagle and go with my nose so I tend to meander a bit, but don't pull on the leash (unless I see one of those squirrels I mentioned). If you're looking for a lower energy, gentle quiet companion, I'm your guy!
