Jared came to HART scared and shut down. Now that he has had time to settle into his foster home, he is a very curious boy who loves to explore his new world! He lives with a large dog and two humans. He loves playing in the backyard with his foster family!! It can take him some time to warm up to people, once he's comfortable he becomes attached to his people and you get to see his silly personality. Sometimes Jared can be unsure about larger dogs at first, but he usually warms up to dogs pretty quickly. He seems to love smaller dogs right away and he loves to play with little dog next door through the fence.

He walks fairly well with a harness and has shown nothing beyond curiosity towards wild animals while out on walks/in the yard. He is learning simple commands, and he is house trained. Jared is happy in his crate at night and when everyone is nearby. He is unhappy when he's left alone, but he's slowly getting better.

Jared would do best in an adult only home who will give him time and space to become comfortable in his new surroundings. A calmer, mature dog would be a good fit for Jared, as he needs space at first.
