Alley is a beautiful 2 year old Plott Hound mix, 55 lbs. She was in a foster home and was wonderful with the foster family's child. For a couple of weeks she was at the shelter they put two very rambunctious older puppies in the run with her and she was super tolerant and patient with them. When those puppies got adopted, Alley figured out a way to open the kennel door (every night) and they would find her in the morning waiting by the office door for her breakfast! This became something of a ritual. She never chewed anything or had accidents, just waited for the staff to show up and greeted them one by one. She was so excited to see her friends! She was a staff favorite at the shelter where they said she was "super smart and kind"! She can open some crate doors too (problem solved with a carabiner clip!) Alley loves other dogs and would love a home where she can run and play with other dogs. However, she is not a fan of cats. A 5 foot fence or higher would be best. She is much more comfortable going "the bathroom" outside in a fenced yard instead of on walks which is another reason we think a fenced yard would be best for Alley.
