Jake is a sweet boy who is afraid of the world right now. He was surrendered by his owner to a shelter in SC where HART rescued him. Jake is house trained and his crate is his safe space. His foster can reach into the crate and give him belly rubs which he seems to enjoy. But outside the crate, he is timid. He is good with the other dogs in his foster home but doesn't engage with them much. It seems like he wants to play but doesn't know how. It appears he has not been walked on a leash before but his foster is helping him learn that fun things accompany the leash. With continued love and affection and maybe the right doggy friend, Jake will blossom. He just needs a patient person to give him that chance.
