Annabelle is a gentle, loving soul with a huge heart and a sweet disposition. We think she may be part Dalmatian. We know she is all cuddle-bunny. Annabelle came to HART from a shelter in South Carolina where she was a staff favorite. Coming off an 11-hour transport to Northern VA, she calmly greeted everyone she met and had great manners from the start. In her foster home she is a quiet shadow of whoever is home - she just wants to be with her people, preferably with her head on someone's lap. And she desperately wants to be pals with the other dogs in the foster home. Annabelle is in absolute bliss when curled up next to someone watching TV or teleworking. She has shown no destructive tendencies, almost never barks, knows to go potty outside and sheds very moderately. She takes treats gently, has learned to to sit and wait for permission to eat when the food bowl goes on the floor, and isn't a big puller on a leash. Annabelle sometimes shies away from toddlers and very young kids but is great with everyone else. She needs a home where she has sofa and bed privileges, where someone is almost always around and where her boundless love and devotion will be treasured.
