Before we tell you the sad back story about Skipper's family you should know that this dog hardly ever stops wagging his tail if he is meeting someone. He is in a foster home and according to our foster is "wonderful". Good with her other dogs, housebroken and gentle and just a terrific companion!! He loved to go for walks at the shelter and did not want to come back. Skipper could use to lose a few pounds but we are not going to hold that against him one bit. The sad back story about Skipper is that his owner's adult son passed away, and she took in his two dogs. She already had Skipper and another dog but she did not have a problem caring for all 4 dogs. Then she lost her own job and was unable to continue to care for four dogs. Rather than give up her son's dogs, who are even older and with health issues, she gave up her own two, which included sweet Skipper. Just heartbreaking that she had to make such a difficult decision, but this boy is doing great now.
