Attention: The safety of our adopters and volunteers is our highest priority. HART has resumed adoption events at the Chantilly Petsmart. We ask that adopters that are not fully vaccinated wear a mask while outside and that all adopters, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask while indoors.

Stanley is a precious little boy! He came to HART after his owner died and there was no one else to care for him. He remained in the home for five years - we are told someone was living there at least part of the time, but it was clear when we got Stanley that he was not well cared for. Despite his past, he is a happy, friendly, curious boy who often sleeps with a smile on his face!

Stanley is blind, but he wasted no time settling into his foster home, eagerly sniffing around the house, tail wagging, and learning his way around. His nose and ears both seem to work very well! He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home and is friendly when meeting new dogs and humans... though sometimes is a little distracted by all the smells and sounds around him! We haven't seen him with kids or cats, but we think he would do fine with them.

Stanley is well-behaved in his foster home and doesn't chew on anything except toys. He is quiet and the only time his foster mom has heard him bark is when he was excited to hear her arriving home. He is house trained and crate trained and does fine sleeping in a crate at night. Let us know if you are interested in meeting Stanley!
