Marty is a timid but loving boy who takes some time to warm up to new people and environments and is looking for a quiet home. He loves his foster mom and follows her around the house and likes to lie next to her on the couch, sometimes with his head on her. He loves getting pets and belly rubs and is not very demanding, but he will sometimes gently and adorably paw at his foster mom when he wants attention. He loves spending time outside, especially lying in the sun. He is good with the other dogs in the home - he really doesn't pay any attention to them and is focused on his human, who he doesn't mind sharing. He is low to medium energy.
Marty is house trained, non destructive and crate trained, though he does not need to be crated. He is generally quiet and does fine when home alone. He's well-mannered and is a good listener.
Marty is not comfortable with strangers coming to his home and needs a home without frequent visitors and/or someone willing to work on this with a trainer. He does much better meeting people outside of the home and is just timid and ignores them.
Marty has so much love to give! He is patiently waiting for the right adopter who has lots of love and patience, and will work with him on his fears.
