Hi, I'm Volya, which is Ukrainian for Freedom. Despite the previous neglect, I have survived! When HART found me I was emaciated, but I'm now healthy, happy, and ready for my forever home. Even though I had a rough start, I don't hold any grudges and I love everyone I meet. They may tell you I'm too big to be a lap dog, but don't believe it! I love to snuggle and my favorite place to be is next to my people. When I'm not in a lap, I'm a happy energetic boy and would make an awesome running buddy or hiking buddy for you. I will be happiest in a home with a fenced yard. The hustle and bustle of city life is not for me. I'm cut out for country living, or a quieter suburban neighborhood.
I love playing with other dogs and I don't even mind when my foster sister tugs on my ears and legs. I'm just happy to get the attention! I also love kids and am very gentle with them, though I will do best with kids who are big enough for me to climb into their laps. I'm just a big goof who's ready to love you with all that I have!
