Pepper is a sweet, gentle, happy girl. She has impeccable house manners - no accidents or inappropriate chewing since she arrived, and she sleeps through the night (though she is still learning about crate training). Pepper has a lovely, sleek black coat with gorgeous multi-colored freckles on her paws and belly. Her unique, striking looks get compliments wherever she goes. Pepper has a morning wag (and a quick kiss, if allowed) for every member of her foster family. She loves to play with toys of all kinds (antlers, squeaky things, balls), but mostly just likes to lounge on a dog bed near her people (and get belly rubs, if at all possible). Pepper has a soft mouth and takes and gives treats and toys very gently. She enjoys leash walks and romping in her foster family's fenced back yard - but she is always eager to come inside with her person when playtime is done. She is happily curious about other dogs and people she meets in the neighborhood, but has not had a chance for playtime with other dogs. She seems like she would be sweet with kids, but has had no exposure to them since arriving. Her foster family thinks she will be a genuinely wonderful dog for a lucky household, with lots of love and companionship to give.
