If you are looking for a loving and devoted companion, you may have just found your dog. Lady is not yet in a foster home but our kennel manager (who knows dogs) says that Lady is a really good dog! She is smart and learns quickly and she bonds easily to people. She seems to be looking for her person. When the kennel manager is leaving, Lady will gently take hold of her sweater to try to get her to stay longer. She is next to Peter and Benjamin in a run and she likes to play with them. She came to the shelter with her name. This is important only because people who drop their dogs off at this shelter rarely even bother to pass along the dog's name. Hard to imagine, right? But of the 40 animals we pulled from this shelter on this last trip, only 2 of them had names and Lady was one of them. Maybe that means that she was loved and her family could no longer afford to keep her. We don't know that history but we are so happy we have this "special gal" as our kennel manager calls her.
